Ductless Mini-Splits in Huntington: let's be upfront about it.

Ductless Mini-Splits in Town of Huntington, NY

Serving Huntington Station, Melville, Greenlawn and the rest of Huntington

Mini-splits are wall- or ceiling-mounted heads connected to an outdoor unit by a small line set. They're ideal where there's no ductwork: older homes, additions, finished garages and sunrooms. In the Town of Huntington, that means Huntington Station, Melville, Greenlawn, Huntington Village, South Huntington, Lloyd Harbor, and everywhere in between.

Common signs around Huntington Station

Hot upstairs bedrooms or a converted attic
A house with baseboard or radiator heat and no ducts
An addition or sunroom the main system can't reach

Someone will drill one extra hole. You'll find it in the spring.

How a Huntington ductless mini-splits job goes

Choose head locations and size each zone
Pick single-zone or multi-zone outdoor equipment
Drill a small (about 3-inch) hole and run line set, power and condensate
Mount the heads and the outdoor unit, then vacuum and charge

Travel note: Northern State Parkway and Jericho Turnpike. We once spent a whole day stuck on Jericho Turnpike. We billed it as 'travel.'

Ductless Mini-Splits and Huntington homes

Two-story colonials often run one system for both floors, which leaves the upstairs hot. Zoning or a second system fixes it. Lots of forced-air gas, plus older hot-water systems in the harbor villages.

Historic homes in the villages, big colonials in Dix Hills and lots of high ranches and splits everywhere else.

Huntington Ductless Mini-Splits FAQ

How many heads do I need?

Usually one per room or open area you want to control. A multi-zone outdoor unit can run several heads.

Do mini-splits heat too?

Most are heat pumps, so yes.

Do you really cover Lloyd Harbor?

Yes. Coming in on the LIRR Port Jefferson branch corridor, give or take a deli stop. Every room gets its own remote. Our crew will lose all of them by day two.
